Finca La Vuelta 'on tour'

Saturday 10 September we are organising an 'open air' food and music festival in the beautiful park of Benijófar. This location is only 3 minutes away from our finca!

In cooperation with our friends of 'Plaza Diferente' and 'Supermercado Diferente' we will bring you a fantastic night out you will remember.

In the park we are serving a big range of superb 'street food' from different kinds of market stalls.

On the stage you can enjoy a full evening of fantastic live Music acts. Among them the very popular and best live duo act at the coast 'Bella Luna'.

Also you can enjoy amazing street artists and surprise acts.

The whole evening will be held in a stylish 'Hippie' kind of setting.

The festival starts at 18.00 until 01.00.

With this festival we are supporting the social service in Benijófar. They take care of families in need. By visiting our festival you are supporting these people as well.

Tickets are € 5,00 (including welcome drink) and available at our restaurant and at 'plaza and Supermercado Diferente'.

You can reserve your tickets as well online at our website

Come and bring your friends or family to join us at Saturday the 10th of September at the park of Benijófar.

We are looking forward to welcome you and bring you a great night out!

With best regards,

Sam and Hein

New Apple watch is now out

The Apple Watch Series 2 has been officially unveiled as the successor to the Apple Watch and it's bringing some pretty big new features.

Like the original, you'll be able to pick the Series 2 in 38mm and 42mm case sizes but the big news on the design front is that the Apple Watch Series 2 will be waterproof this time. So you can take it for a dip at up to 50 metres depth, which is the same waterproofing as the Fitbit Flex 2. For swimmers, it will have both pool swim and open water swim options.

Must read hands on: Apple Watch Series 2

There's also changes in the display department where Apple has opted for a new touchscreen that is apparently 2 times brighter than its predecessor offering 1,000 nits of brightness. Apple says this is the brightest screen it has created on any of its devices.

Weather for September

Averages for Alicante in September
Weather lowdown
September is the end of summer and start of autumn in Alicante, depending on which portion of the month you arrive in. The beginning of the month will be much warmer than the end, and autumn is the start of the rainy season so expect regular showers by the end.
There are still around 8 hours of sunshine each day, with average temperatures of 24C and highs of 29C. Overnight, the temperature is unlikely to fall much below 19C. It should still be quite warm and pleasant for much of the month. It’s a similar story across the country with average temperatures of 25C and highs of 32C in Seville. It will be slightly cooler in Barcelona, in the north of Spain, with average temperatures of 22C and highs of 26C. High humidity levels year round in Alicante will ensure the temperature feels much warmer, though it will be mediated somewhat by higher wind speeds and increased rainfall.
Autumn is the rainy season in Alicante. Visitors will almost certainly experience some heavy showers and there’s a risk of flooding at this time. In 1997 nearly 271mm of rain fell over a six hour period, causing flash floods and turning the streets into a river. However, Alicante doesn’t see floods every year. There have been a number of years when the city saw no rainfall at all. On average, it expects rainfall of 41mm over 5 days in September; still more than four times the amount expected in August. There’s also likely to be some hail and thunderstorms at the end of the month.
The rest of Spain will see similarly increased levels of rainfall. Barcelona, for example, expects average rainfall of 40mm over 9 days.
Denia Maria port in Alicante, Spain

The area of North coast blanca Javea.
He later confirmed to fans that he was 'safe' but described the inferno as 'scary'.
Spanish emergency crews are still working to bring the fire under control and authorities said more than 200 firefighters with 65 vehicles were deployed to the scene.
The temperature in the area was forecast to reach 36 degrees Celsius (96.8 Fahrenheit), but officials were hoping a stiff wind that has fanned the flames would drop.
Emergency services said they almost brought the blaze under control on Sunday, but when water-dumping aircraft stood down after sunset the fire surged again and compelled the evacuations.

Mini heatwave assails Spain over first weekend of September

By Wednesday the heat will be abating and the country returning to more normal temperature levels

In spite of this being the first weekend of September, conditions of atmospheric instability will lead to a major episode of late summer high temperatures which will affect the majority of the regions of Spain between the 3rd and 8th September.

On Saturday and Sunday temperatures rose right across Spain and are expected to reach 38/40ºC in areas of the south-western quadrant of Spain, 36/39ºC in the central area of the Ebro Valley and Valencia Region and 34/36ºC in the El Duero Valley and central –southern areas of Galicia on Sunday afternoon and Monday.

On Monday and Tuesday temperatures will fall in the Ebro Valley and climb in the north-west of Spain, and it is probable that they will continue to rise in the southern-central areas of the Spanish peninsula, exceeding 40ºC in areas such as the Guadalquivir Valley, the Tajo and Guadiana Valleys.

It is probable that temperatures will start to fall noticeably across the west of Spain on Wednesday, a fall which will become generalised on Thursday.
