About Us

Restaurante La Herradura is located on the outskirts of Los Montesinos in a historic old farmhouse or finca, (if you’re driving from the direction of Torrevieja on the CV 945, it is on your left just before you hit the town, from an inland direction it is on your right, just after leaving the town)

the building has a very interesting history dating back to 1888. The Restaurant boasts a number of intimate and beautiful areas where you can enjoy your meal, from courtyards, to ornatmental gardens, romantic corners or larger family or group tables. The restaurant is

beautifully decorated in a traditional, rustic Iberian style, transporting you back to a bygone age. The restaurant´s wine cellar dating back to the 19th century is just one of the many features of the restaurant. Parking isn´t a problem either with space for over 250 cars.

The cuisine is absolutely top draw, with an emphasis on traditional Spanish cuisine with a modern twist, the menu changes regularly and you can be assured you’ll find an excellent selection of arroces (paellas) as well as meat and fish dishes, alongside regional specialities. A very high quality menu del dia is available for just 12€. La Herradura plays host to many fiesta and party events, such as flamenco dancing, this together with the beautiful and aromatic cuisine of the traditional and innovative dishes on offer all go to make a visit to La Herradura unique and delightful, and a must for any gourmet.

My family and I have eaten at this restuarant, the setting was lovley and the food was indeed fabulous and very different to anything we'd experienced in the area before. The bill was fairly pricey for the a la carte but worth every cent particularly as it was for special celebration.
